When a Jewish person puts on their prayer shawl, they close themselves in and shut out the world. The prayer shawl becomes a “prayer closet”.
Loving God, we give you thanks for the gift of our hands. Give us the grace to see our hands as you see them, as instruments of grace and life. May the work of our hands be the work of your heart. Use our hands, O God, to carry out Your works of mercy and love.
May the shawls our hands create bring blessings to those they wrap in love, and healing to those upon whom they rest.
Anyone can join us as we create these gifts, whether you already know how to knit or crochet, or you would like to learn one of these crafts!
We meet the first Tuesday of the month at 9:30 am.
